Garden landscaping in Lanarkshire
Garden Landscaping in Lanarkshire
Somewhere to sit out, room for the kids or just less garden to look after: let us know what you need and we’ll plan it with you.

We do gardens right across North and South Lanarkshire. Some just need a new lawn or fence, others need clearing back and starting from scratch. We’ll come out, look at the garden and talk through your ideas.
First we clear the garden and sort the levels. Then the hard landscaping goes in, patios, paths, edging and walls, and finally the lawn, artificial grass or gravel.
We plan the drainage from the outset so rain runs away from the house and the lawn stays usable over winter.
What We Do
Patios & paving
Natural stone, porcelain, slab and block paved patios and seating areas.
Turf & artificial grass
New lawns laid on properly prepared ground, or artificial grass that stays green all year.
Sleepers & raised beds
Timber sleeper walls, raised beds and retaining edges for sloping gardens.
Paths & steps
Slab, block and gravel paths, steps and landings to get round the garden.
Gravel & borders
Decorative stone, slate chips, edging and low-maintenance borders.
Fencing
New fence panels, posts and gates to finish the garden off.
How we work
From bare ground to finished garden
We follow the same steps on every garden. Here are a few finished ones.

Free visit & ideas
We look at the garden, check levels and drainage, talk through what you want and give you a fixed price.
Clear & dig out
Old turf, slabs, soil and rubbish are cleared and taken away, and the ground is dug out to the right levels.
Groundwork & drainage
Bases are built and compacted, and any drainage goes in so water has somewhere to go.
Hard landscaping
Patios, paths, steps, sleeper walls and edging are laid and set properly.
Soft landscaping
Turf, artificial grass, gravel and borders go in last to finish the garden.
Clean-up & handover
We clear every bit of waste, wash everything down and walk you round the finished garden.
Local know-how
Gardens we work on
Lanarkshire has everything from sandstone villas and old miners’ rows to big council estates, new towns like Cumbernauld and East Kilbride, and rural homes in the Clyde valley. These are the jobs we get asked for most.
Wet, heavy ground
Plenty of Lanarkshire gardens sit on heavy clay or old mining ground and stay boggy all winter. Drainage, a raised patio or artificial grass fixes it.
Sloping gardens
Gardens running down to the Clyde around Overtown, Crossford and Kirkfieldbank, or on the hills in Cumbernauld, can be steep. Sleeper walls and steps make them usable.
New-build gardens
New estates across Lanarkshire usually hand over thin turf on builders’ spoil and a few slabs. We replace them with a proper patio, lawn and fence.
Family & pet gardens
Hard-wearing artificial grass, safe paths and space to play, without muddy patches.
Low-maintenance gardens
Patios, gravel and artificial grass for people who want a nice garden without the weekend work.
Garden rooms & sheds
Solid, level bases for garden rooms, sheds and summerhouses, finished to match the patio.

Garden Makeovers in Lanarkshire
When the whole garden needs doing, we clear it, sort the levels and drainage, then build the patio, lawn, paths, beds and fencing.
One team means everything ties together properly at the end.

Patios & paving
Patios in Lanarkshire
We lay natural stone, porcelain, slab and block paved patios on a dug-out base, with every slab bedded in mortar and set to a fall so rain runs off.
- Natural stone, porcelain and slab patios
- Block paved patios and seating areas
- Steps, landings and edging

Turf & new lawns
Turfing in Lanarkshire
We strip the old lawn and weeds, level and prepare the soil and lay fresh turf tight, so the new lawn roots in and stays level.
Blocks, kerbs or sleepers round the edge keep it neat and easy to mow.
- Old lawn stripped and ground levelled
- Quality turf laid tight
- Block, kerb or sleeper edging

Artificial grass
Artificial Grass in Lanarkshire
Artificial grass is green all year, never needs cutting and copes with kids and pets. We lay it on a compacted, free-draining base with a weed membrane underneath.
- Laid on a proper free-draining base
- No mowing, feeding or muddy patches
- Great for small gardens, kids and pets

Sleepers & raised beds
Sleeper Walls & Raised Beds
Timber sleepers are great for sloping gardens. We use them for retaining walls, raised beds and steps to give you level space.
- Sleeper retaining walls
- Raised beds and planters
- Steps and edging

Paths, gravel & borders
Garden Paths & Gravel
Paths make the garden easy to get round, and gravel or slate is a low-maintenance way to fill borders. Everything gets proper edging.
- Slab, block and gravel paths
- Decorative stone and slate chips
- Edging to keep stone off lawns

Good to know
Landscaping questions we’re often asked
What does landscaping cost in Lanarkshire?
It depends on the garden size, what needs clearing, access and what you want done. A new lawn or fence costs far less than a full makeover. We come out for free and give you a fixed price in writing.
Do you only do full garden makeovers?
No. We do plenty of smaller jobs too, like a new lawn, a fence or a patio on its own.
Should I choose turf or artificial grass?
Turf is cheaper to lay and feels natural but needs mowing. Artificial grass costs more up front, stays green and needs no mowing, which is great if you have kids or dogs. We lay both.
How long does it take to landscape a garden?
A lawn or fence usually takes a day or two. A bigger job with a patio, paths and lawn is normally one to two weeks, depending on size and access. We’ll give you a timescale first.
Is planning permission needed?
Not for most garden work. Raised decking or patios, high fences or walls, listed buildings and conservation areas can be different, and those go through North or South Lanarkshire Council depending on where you live. We’ll tell you at the survey if anything needs checking.
Will you take away the old materials?
Yes. Old slabs, soil, turf and rubble are all removed, and we tidy up at the end of each day.
Can you fix a garden that floods or stays wet?
Yes. We can add drainage, adjust the levels or lay artificial grass on a free-draining base, depending on what’s causing it.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes, all of our work is guaranteed. We’re a vetted Checkatrade member, rated 9.83/10 from 50 verified reviews, and Checkatrade’s £1,000 guarantee applies to eligible jobs (their T&Cs apply).
